Scenario
Our smart lockers are designed to simplify the process of delivering documents to citizens. Smart lockers allow employees to securely store documents or books, generate QR codes and PINs for customers, and provide a management server to track deliveries, generate reports, and enable API integration.
1. User: Employee
– Role: Delivery staff
2. Purpose: facilitate the efficient delivery of documents and books to citizens using smart locks.
3. Prerequisites:
– Smart lockers are installed in a designated location within or near the company's premises.

– The smart locker system has a management server with API integration capabilities with company applications.
4. Main stream:
– The employee receives a document or book to be delivered to a citizen.
– The employee opens an available smart locker, which is marked as "Available for Delivery".
– The employee places the assigned document or book inside the locker.
– The employee securely closes the cabinet door.
– The smart locker system assigns a unique QR code and PIN for citizen pickup
– The smart locker system automatically triggers an email or SMS notification to the citizen containing the QR code and pickup instructions.
– The management server records the delivery event, the locker number and the details of the Citizen, in the management system.
– The citizen receives the notification with the QR code and pick-up instructions.
– The citizen reaches the area of the smart cabinet.
– The citizen scans the QR code using his smartphone or enters the PIN code provided on the locker interface.
– The system checks the code or PIN for authentication.
– Upon successful authentication, the smart locker unlocks the corresponding compartment assigned to the respective delivery.
– The citizen takes his document or book and closes the cupboard door.
– The smart lock system locks the compartment and sends an appropriate notification to the management server, marking the delivery as complete.
– The management server updates the delivery status. – End of use case.
5. Alternative flow:
– If the smart locker system fails to generate the QR code or PIN, the employee can request a manual generation or contact technical support for assistance.
– If the Citizen encounters any problems when scanning the QR code or entering the PIN code, he can contact customer support for resolution.
6. API Integration:
– The system provides API integration functionality.
– Integration with the company's delivery management system to synchronize delivery details and track the progress of each delivery.
– Integration with the company's customer notification system to automate the generation and sending of QR codes and PINs to customers.
– Integration with company reporting system to generate delivery reports including delivery status, timestamps and customer information.
– Integration with external courier services to update delivery status and trigger pickup notifications.
– Optional: Integration with the company's CRM system to collect customer feedback and ratings based on their experience with the smart cabinet delivery process.
